With the tub installed it was time to work on the electrical system and gauges.  Here is the main harness exiting the dash.  I will split it between front and rear and tape it up.
Here it is with the plate the right side up (I think?).
Here is the convoy light switch after being refurbished by a club member for me.
And here it is installed with the plate repainted.
I installed the plate that goes behind the instrument cluster and the circuit breakers.
Next on the list was cleaning up the gauges.  The fuel and charging gauges were the worst of the bunch with much rust and deep scratches in the plastic.
I started with the fuel gauge and used a piece of a utility knife blade to scrap down the surface to remove the scratches.
I then wet sanded it with 120 grit paper until I got the rest of the scratches out.
This was followed with a 600 grit wet sanding.
And I finished using a buffing compound to remove the last of the scratches.
Here is the finished gauge.  From start to finish it took about 20 minutes.
I then masked the lens with Duct tape for a trip through the sand blast cabinet.
And here it is ready to paint.
For the charging gauge I tried a different approach.  I sandblasted the gauge and the lens together which cleared up all the scratches and then finished it with the 120 and 600 grit wet sands and the buffing compound.  I think it came out better.
And here it is complete and installed in the panel.
Here is the convoy light repaired, repainted and ready to be installed.
And here it is installed on the frame.
